Yesterday & Today

In
1800, Adams County was formed from part of nearby York County. Although
the city of Gettysburg is famous as a civil war battle site
and address given by President Abraham Lincoln, the city also is
host to the county seat. Adams County is filled with acres of orchards
fortifying it as the largest producer of apples in the state.
Tourists
will find numerous attractions to see including wonderful antique
districts, historical sites, unique shops, and abundant orchards
lining the countryside. A tour through this county is a must.
